Venue Identity
'Sangam' is the name of a new exhibition and conference centre based in Madurai, India. The city is built around the Meenakshi Amman Temple and the streets around the temple that lead out to the rest of the city are laid out in a concentric square grid system. The logo for Sangam reflects the layout of the city's streets. This concept of concentric squares is also the idea behind the wayfinders used throughout the building. The colour palette used throughout reflects the colours of the the city's buildings and street surfaces.
